Spurs and Pompey join race for Mandzukic
Dinamo Zagreb striker Mario Mandzukic could be set for a summer switch to the Premier League, according to the player's agent.
Bundesliga outfit Werder Bremen appeared favourites to land the 23-year-old's services during the close season.
However, the Croatian international - who netted his country's only goal in their 4-1 defeat to England last September - could instead be heading to English shores, with agent Ivan Cvjetkovic revealing that both Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth have expressed an interest.
Mandzukic has netted 28 league goals in 57 outings since arriving from NK Zagreb in 2007, and has been capped four times by his country.
"We have told Dinamo that Mario wants to leave the club. Werder are showing great interest. We will know more in a few days," Cvjetkovic told Bild.
"If there is no solution by the end of the month, it will be difficult to complete it in time as Dinamo would play him in the Champions League qualifiers.
"Tottenham and Portsmouth are interested as well, but Mario would ideally like to play in the Bundesliga."
