Betis squad hit by suspected swine flu

MADRID - As many as 10 players in the Real Betis first-team squad have shown symptoms of what may be swine flu, the Spanish second division club said on Tuesday.

"Tests were conducted today with the aim of confirming the diagnosis, and the results will be available in 48 hours," doctor Tomas Calero told the club's website.

"The symptoms indicate that it's swine flu but we have to wait for the results," he added. Betis were relegated from Spain's top division at the end of last season.
