BUENOS AIRES - Cruzeiro eased past Universidad de Chile to become the fourth Brazilian side to reach the quarter-finals of the Libertadores Cup.
Kleber swept in Ramires' pass in the 74th minute as Cruzeiro won Thursday night's second round, second leg tie 1-0 in Belo Horizonte to complete a 3-1 aggregate win over the Chileans.
They joined compatriots Sao Paulo, Gremio and Palmeiras in the last eight.
Sport Recife, who lost on penalties to Palmeiras on Tuesday, are the only Brazilian side to have been eliminated so far.
Estudiantes became the first Argentine side to progress when they held Paraguayan champions Libertad to a goalless draw away from home and completed a 3-0 aggregate win.
Libertad had Uruguay midfielder Omar Pouso sent off for a bad tackle in the 65th minute.
Boca Juniors, the only other Argentine survivors, led twice away to Uruguay's Defensor Sporting before having to settle for a 2-2 draw in a first leg tie in Montevideo.
