Della Valle dismisses Jovetic reports

The 19-year-old forward has netted seven league goals in 36 appearances for la Viola since arriving from Partizan in 2008, and has already made 11 outings for Montenegro, scoring six times.

But he shot to instant stardom in the club's recent Champions League clash with Liverpool, netting both goals in a 2-0 victory over Rafael Benitez's charge, having only been drafted into the starting line-up against the five-time European Cup winners due to Alberto Gilardino's suspension.

Reports were quick to link the 'Montenegrin Messi' with a move to Manchester United, while Chelsea, Juventus and Bayern Munich have also been tipped to sign the player in the past.

And after Fiorentina sporting director Pantaleo Corvino dismissed speculation suggesting Jovetic would be leaving in the near future, patron Della Valle has towed a similar line.

"Jovetic is a champion, and he will be staying in Florence," Della Valle said in Datasport.it.

"I think he is a big champion and his future is here at Fiorentina. As for the rest, it's all just paper talk."
