I don't see why he should quit - Begovic tips Terry to continue
John Terry can continue playing in 2017-18, according to his Chelsea team-mate Asmir Begovic.
Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic has backed club captain John Terry to play on next season.
Terry has lost his place in the first team under Antonio Conte, as Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill and David Luiz thrive in the three-man defence that has helped the Blues open up an eight-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
The centre-back turned 36 in December and is out of contract in June, prompting widespread speculation he could retire or end his 22-year association with Chelsea by signing for another club.
Goalkeeper Begovic believes the former England international could yet extend his decorated stay in west London, although he acknowledged the lure of going out on a high could also prove tempting.
"I can see him continuing to play and while he is playing like this, I don't see why he should quit," the Bosnian told reporters.
"He trains every day, he's as fit as a fiddle and you don't get the sense that he is coming to an end.
"What he has in his mind and what he is planning to do is something only he can answer."

Referring to Chelsea's bid to win a double of the Premier League and FA Cup in Conte's first season in charge, Begovic added: "But if he collects two trophies, maybe that's a great way to go out.
