Bulgaria refuse to play ball with South Americans

SOFIA - Bulgaria have refused to meet Argentina and Paraguay in World Cup warm-up games this year, the country's FA chief said.

"We're still looking for an opponent in a friendly game in the first week after May 15," Borislav Mihaylov told reporters on Thursday.

"We received an offer to visit Argentina and Paraguay but such a South American tour would be very long and we have to keep our players until June 4 so this is impossible.

"Most of the championships end in the middle of May and it's unacceptable to arrange games so long after the end of the season since we're not going to play in South Africa."
