Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Dutch forward Robin van Persie should return to the club this week, and could be back playing for the Gunners in a month.
The 26-year-old has been out since November after sustaining a serious ankle injury playing for his country.
However, Van Persie has now finally begun light training in his homeland, and is set to return to action shortly before the end of the season, with the Gunners still well-placed to challenge for both Premier League and Champions League glory.
"I think he will be back this week," Wenger told the club's official website.
"We sent our fitness coach out to Holland where Robin has been having his rehabilitation.
"Physically he looks very sharp, but we aim at least to wait a month."
Van Persie had netted eight goals in 11 games prior to picking up the injury that has seen him sidelined for more than four months.comments
