Motherwell boss Graham Alexander plans to appeal against Liam Polworth red card

Graham Alexander says Motherwell will appeal against the red card shown to midfielder Liam Polworth in his side’s 2-0 defeat by Aberdeen – if it is possible.

Polworth was sent off for using foul and abusive language just three minutes into the second half, following a coming-together with Lewis Ferguson, with his team already trailing to Tommie Hoban’s back-post header.
