Drogba: Blues can outscore Barca

Barcelona's front three of Lionel Messi, Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry have scored the lion's share of the Spanish club's huge haul of goals this season but they were frustrated by Chelsea's defence in the 0-0 draw at the Nou Camp last week.

"I think we have more players who can score from every position," Drogba told a news conference on Tuesday.

Midfielder Frank Lampard and defenders Branislav Ivanovic and Alex contributed five goals towards Chelsea's aggregate 7-5 quarter-final victory over Liverpool.

Drogba scored the other two and might have had a first-half goal at the Nou Camp but was foiled twice in quick succession by Barca keeper Victor Valdes.

"Valdes made two fantastic saves. As a forward you are frustrated when you don't score with an opportunity to make difference," Drogba said.

"I was a bit frustrated immediately, but I was also happy with the result at the end."

Drogba found the net again in Chelsea's 3-1 home win over Fulham on Saturday as did fellow striker Nicolas Anelka.

"We showed the manager we can play two or three up front," Drogba said of coach Guus Hiddink's decision to play a two-pronged attack.

The 0-0 draw was the first time Barcelona had failed to score at home in any competition this season but they quickly rediscovered the route to goal with a 6-2 demolition of Real Madrid in the Bernabeu at the weekend.

Hiddink, who has coached several teams in Spain including Real, enjoyed Barca's performance and said he would again have to find ways of containing the skill, speed and mobility of the Barcelona attack.

"As a lover of football I enjoyed the game very much. There is a lot of circulation in their positions, this can bring danger but we have to create our own danger," Hiddink said.
