Training ground tussle adds to Toon turmoil
Newcastle's tumultuous season has taken another turn for the worst after it was reported that Charles N'Zogbia and Andy Carroll were involved in a training ground bust-up.
The heated exchange is believed to have taken place following an overly-enthusiastic challenge by Carroll on French team-mate N'Zogbia, with one witness telling The Sun: "All hell broke loose, punches were flying. It just shows what state morale is."
This latest confrontation will not surprise United fans, who are enduring a torrid season following the Toon Army, who currently lie just two points above the relegation zone.
Saturday's 3-0 collapse to Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park witnessed a minor scuffle between Toon team-mates Joey Barton and Jose Enrique following the third goal.
While manager Joe Kinnear has been reprimanded on several occasions this season for comments made about members of the press and match officals, with his latest offence - being sent to the stands after exchanging heated words with Hull manager Phil Brown during an FA Cup tie at St. James' Park - leading to an FA charge.
