SEOUL - Hyundai Motor Co and affiliate Kia Motors Corp have agreed to extend their sponsorship of UEFA competitions until 2017.
UEFA president Michel Platini signed the deal with company officials on Tuesday.
Financial details were not disclosed.
"Our commitment and support of UEFA will help raise awareness of the Hyundai-Kia brand and fortify our position as a global company," Hyundai Motor Group chairman Chung Mong-koo said in a statement.
The agreement spans the 2012 and 2016 European championships and Hyundai will enjoy main sponsorship rights for "all UEFA Euro events, including the rights to use logos, emblems as well as signage display in the stadiums."
Hyundai have sponsored the European championships since 2000.comments
