Toe woe for hapless Ribery

BERLIN - Bayern Munich playmaker Franck Ribery's injury-plagued season continued on Monday when he was forced to miss the start of a training camp in Dubai to have his big toenails removed.

The Bavarian club said the problem flared up during their last practice before leaving Munich for the Middle East.

"The French player......suffered bruises on both big toes and the nails had to be drilled out," Bayern said in a statement on their website.

Ribery, the subject of intense transfer speculation, had been out of action for more than two months this season with a nagging knee injury.
