Quiz! Can you name the only player from these nations to appear in the Premier League?

Neil Etheridge

Cardiff’s goalkeeper became the first Filipino to play in England’s top flight since 1992, thereby joining this exclusive club of flag-flyers. But who are they?

We are part of The Trust Project What is it?

It wasn’t an ideal Premier League debut for the Bluebirds’ netminder against Bournemouth on Saturday, despite the history-making occasion and a first-half penalty save – Cardiff went down 2-0 on the south coast to start their season on a bum note.

Luckily for you, though, the 59-cap Enfield-born shot-stopper has made for some quizzing potential – naming him and the 16 other one-nation wonders from Premier League history.

We’ll warn you now: this isn’t easy, so we’ve stuck 10 minutes on the clock to help you out a bit. Below are representatives from nations including Albania, Equatorial Guinea and the Seychelles, featuring players with… let’s say mixed success from their top-flight travails. Three of them have played for Fulham, so that's nice.

When you’re done, tell us how you fared @FourFourTwo and we’ll retweet some of the best scores to see if they can be beaten. Then send it to some friends to see if they can do any better (of course they can't).
