Adelaar signs two-year Sparta deal

AMSTERDAM - Volendam coach Frans Adelaar has signed a two-year deal with Sparta Rotterdam, the Dutch first division club said on Friday.

Adelaar was relegated with Volendam this season and will take over from Foeke Booy, who moved to Utrecht to become technical director.

Adelaar previously worked for Utrecht, Graafschap Doetinchem and ADO Den Haag.
