Previews: Sneijder set to miss Livorno match

Inter Milan playmaker Wesley Sneijder is doubtful for Wednesday's home game against bottom side Livorno after the stuttering Serie A leaders said the Dutchman had a leg muscle strain.

Midfielder Dejan Stankovic is suspended and coach Jose Mourinho much decide whether to bring back forward Mario Balotelli after he was left out of the last two squads because of discipline problems.

Livorno sank to the bottom after a 3-0 defeat at Atalanta on Sunday and coach Serse Cosmi said he had been "betrayed" by his players.

His position is now under threat with president Aldo Spinelli considering his options but Cosmi, who has already resigned once this season before changing his mind, looks poised to stay in charge for Wednesday.

Second-placed AC Milan, a point behind Inter with nine games left, still have a flurry of injuries for Wednesday's trip to Parma.

Alexandre Pato, David Beckham and Alessandro Nesta are among those ruled out but striker Marco Borriello and captain Massimo Ambrosini could return after missing Sunday's 1-1 draw with Napoli.

Third-placed AS Roma have centre back Juan suspended for Wednesday's game at Bologna while Francesco Totti, coming back from a knee problem, is unlikely to be risked with Saturday's home match against Inter in mind.

Juventus goalkeeper Antonio Chimenti misses Thursday's game at Napoli after breaking his hand when punching a table in anger following Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Sampdoria.

Alex Manninger should return in his place with Gianluigi Buffon also close to full fitness, but centre-back Nicola Legrottaglie is suspended.

Palermo, in fourth, have problems in midfield for Wednesday's game at Genoa with Fabio Liverani, Simplicio and Mark Bresciano doubtful due to knocks.
