Joe Crann
Joe is a journalist that’s been about a bit. More than a decade of covering South African football saw him attend CAF Champions League, Confederation Cup and African Cup of Nations games, but he’s also attended three World Cups and reported on UEFA Champions League finals as well. He’s developed a strong understanding of African football, travelling the continent for years watching the beautiful game.
Years spent covering his boyhood club, Sheffield Wednesday, have also been key to his development as a journalist – with the last few years featuring two relegations, a last-gasp promotion and a wide array of off-field drama. His previous interviews range from Lucas Radebe to Chris Waddle and Siphiwe Tshabalala to Roberto Carlos. Supporting England and the Owls with a love for Bafana Bafana, he’s no stranger to heartbreak.
