Crowd trouble curtails Ferencvaros clash

BUDAPEST - The Hungarian first division match between Ferencvaros and visiting Diosgyor was abandoned in the 68th minutes due to crowd trouble on Saturday.

Angry Ferencvaros fans tried to invade the pitch and threw fireworks and other objects as their team trailed 3-1 in Budapest.

"I am really disappointed because there were still 25 minutes left. I fear we could get a stadium ban," Ferencvaros caretaker manager Craig Short told the Nemzeti Sport website.

The 28-times Hungarian champions are third from bottom in the table and Diosgyor are bottom.
