PSG ordered to play behind closed doors

PARIS - Paris Saint-Germain must play their Ligue 1 home game against Boulogne behind closed doors following crowd trouble during a match against Olympique Marseille in March 2009, the French League said on Wednesday.

The game against Boulogne is scheduled for March 28 at the Parc des Princes.

The sanction is not directly linked to the clashes between rival groups of PSG's fans which left one supporter in a life-threatening coma before a home match against Marseille last weekend.

Eighteen PSG fans, arrested during this latest incident, face criminal proceedings.

PSG have since banned the sale of tickets for away games to their own supporters until further notice but are under threat of further sanctions.
