Agent: United interested in Neuer

Manchester United are interested in signing Schalke’s highly-rated goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, according to the player’s agent.

Neuer is under contract with the Royal Blues until 2012 but the club’s financial troubles could lead to the Germany international being sold.

The goalkeeper’s agent, Thomas Kroth, admitted that the Red Devils have been keeping a close eye on the 23-year-old.
