Al Ahli win Cairo derby
African champions Al Ahli beat their arch rivals Zamalek for a third time this season, winning the Cairo derby 1-0 to move to second in the Egyptian premier league standings, a point behind leaders Petrojet with two matches in hand.
Angola international Flavio scored the game's only goal nine minutes from time, heading home a cross from compatriot Gilberto to match Al Ahli success over their neighbours in the African Champions League and Egypt Super Cup.
Struggling Zamalek, whose new Swiss coach Michel Decastel takes over this week remain in sixth place, nine points off the leaders.
