Bayern ace to replace Real target Ronaldo
The agent of Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery has revealed that the French international could be heading to Manchester United in the summer as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a string of high-profile European sides, including Manchester City, Inter Milan and Barcelona, whose president Joan Laporta has denied rumours that the Catalan club have already agreed a deal with the German champions.
But now the Blues' city rivals could be the destination of the former Marseille man with, his representitive, Alain Migliaccio claiming Ribery could be lined up as a possible replacement for Ronaldo, should the Portuguese move to long-time admirers Real Madrid.
"If Manchester United sells Cristiano Ronaldo, Sir Alex Ferguson would like to cover that transfer with Ribery's signature," Migliaccio told Bild.
Ribery has been in stunning form for Bayern so far this season, netting twice and bagging two assists in the 5-0 Champions League thrashing of Sporting on Wednesday.
He has also scored six times from midfield in the Bundesliga so far this season, despite Jurgen Klinsmann's side stuttering in their attempts to retain their league crown.
