Corluka: Redknapp keen on Srna

Fellow Croats Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric are already plying their trade at White Hart Lane.

And with Harry Redknapp set to make wholesale changes to his squad this summer in order to restore Spurs to the higher echelons of the Premier League, they could soon be joined by more of their countryman, according to versatile defender Corluka.

The former Manchester City man has revealed his boss is targeting marauding 27-year-old right-back Darijo Srna, who recently lifted the UEFA Cup as captain of Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk.

“I know that Redknapp is keen on Srna and would not be surprised if Tottenham go for him," he told Sportske Novosti.

“I would play in the middle of defence if that were the case.

“We’ll see what Darijo’s plans are, but it seems that there are plenty of offers, which is no surprise given his quality.”

However, the 23-year-old would not be drawn on the future of Croatian midfielder Niko Kranjcar, who played under Redknapp at Portsmouth and is also being tipped as a potential Spurs signing.

“There’s a lot of talk because everybody knows that Redknapp has always been a huge admirer of Niko’s football," he said.

"Like Srna, though, he has always seemed pretty much committed to his club."
