Klopp says City paid Liverpool compliment by how they set up last season

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admires and respects Manchester City but knows Pep Guardiola paid them a “huge compliment” by changing their tactics at Anfield last season.

When the pair met in 13 months ago, with the two clubs level on 17 points, City set up more conservatively than at any other time in Guardiola’s reign and left with their first goalless draw and clean sheet on the ground since 1986.
