Lampard: Brazil would love England quartet
Chelsea and England midfielder Frank Lampard believes Brazil coach Dunga would love to be able to pick Manchester United duo Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand, Chelsea captain John Terry and Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard in his side.
Fabio Capello’s men face the Samba Boys in Qatar on Saturday and Lampard – who is set to win his 76th cap for the Three Lions – does not believe there is much difference in class between the two sides.
“We should believe in ourselves because personnel-wise, our players have the talent to match anyone – including Brazil,” Lampard said in Zoo.
“We’ve got top players, some of the best in the world. You’re talking about Wayne Rooney, Steven Gerrard, John Terry and Rio Ferdinand.
“Those guys could be compared to any player in the world and I am absolutely sure Brazil would want them in their team.”
Chelsea’s talismanic midfielder also singled out Rooney as the best player he has ever played with at international level.
“I would say Rooney [is top of the list] because he is the one who can make special things happen,” he said.
“He’s the most talented guy in our team and the best I’ve played with for England. He can create and score goals out of nothing.

“John Terry is the best defender I have ever played with and Steven Gerrard has got everything, he’s a complete midfield player, the stand-out one in England.”
