Rick Parry says ‘merits shine through’ as Project Big Picture sparks criticism

EFL chairman Rick Parry believes radical plans for an overhaul of the Premier League are designed “for the greater good of English football”.

Project Big Picture proposes reducing the top flight to 18 teams, giving greater power to the so-called ‘big six’ and abolishing the League Cup and Community Shield, with EFL clubs receiving an immediate £250million rescue package and a 25 per cent future annual share of Premier League revenue.
