Spurs lining up Sandro swoop

The 20-year-old defensive midfielder has made 34 league appearances for the Brazilian outfit since progressing from the youth ranks in 2007.

And his impressive form recently led to him being called up by the national side, with the youngster making his Brazil debut in a World Cup qualifier against Chile last month.

As a result, Sandro has been linked with a move away from South America, with Spurs, Barcelona and Real Madrid all believed to be monitoring the player.

And, according to the Daily Mail, a £14 million agreement between Tottenham and Internacional is close to being agreed, with Sandro's recent international selection expected to enhance his chances of being granted a work permit to play in England.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly sealed a deal with Internacional granting the White Hart Lane outfit the first option on the club's academy graduates.
