Turkish federation to act swiftly on match-fixing

Police have detained some 60 people, including the chairman of champions Fenerbahce, since Sunday in a probe which has sent shockwaves through Turkey, hit clubs' share prices and triggered uncertainty surrounding a multi-billion dollar league.

Twenty-two suspects were questioned at police headquarters in Istanbul and prosecutors asked a court to remand 19 in custody, while releasing three, including Turkish international striker Mehmet Yildiz.
