West Ham reiterate ‘zero-tolerance’ policy to discrimination from supporters

West Ham have stressed their “zero-tolerance” approach to discrimination after a man was handed a three-year football banning order for directing racial abuse at a player during January’s Premier League clash with Liverpool at the London Stadium.

Bradley Thumwood, 48, from Bexleyheath, appeared at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, where he pleaded guilty to a racially aggravated Section 5 public order offence, the Metropolitan Police said.
