Only the Brazilians have won more World Cups than Germany. Pre-1990, of course, the nation competed as East Germany and West Germany for a time.
Since reunification, Die Mannschaft has had the pick of the best from both sides of the Berlin Wall and formed formidable teams as a result. When the nation won its first world title since 1990, the winning goal was symbolic of that reunification.
The first two players born after 1990 to represent Germany combined for the winning goal of that final. But of course, we can't tell you who they were in case they're on today's list.
