Adebayor due to return to England

MANCHESTER - Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor is expected to return to the club this weekend after a period of compassionate leave, coach Roberto Mancini said.

The Togo captain was given time off by City after the gun attack on his team in Angola on Jan. 8 which left two Togo delegation members dead and prompted the team to withdraw from the African Nations Cup.

"I think he will come back on Sunday," Mancini told a news conference on Friday.
