Alaba reveals Arsenal dream

The 17-year-old prodigy has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Bundesliga giants, featuring 10 times for Bayern's second-string since arriving from Austria Vienna this summer.

However, the talented teenager has already earned full international honours with his native Austria, becoming his country's youngest ever player after making his debut against France in October.

And Alaba has admitted that, while he still has much to accomplish with Bayern, his ambition is to move to the Premier League and play at the Emirates Stadium for the Gunners.

"As a child I dreamed of playing for Arsenal," he said in Der Standard.

"I admire their philosophy.

"There is a lot of work with youngsters and the way they play football is wonderful.

"But I feel very well at Bayern. I also want to play in a major tournament with Austria but I must improve in all areas."
