Arshavin: I prefer 4-4-2 formation
Arsenal forward Andrei Arshavin says his performances will continue to improve for the Gunners as he adapts to life in England and the Premier League The Russian international joined Arsene Wenger's side from Zenit St Petersburg at the end of the winter transfer window, and has already impressed Arsenal fans in his seven appearances to date, scoring a stunning individual goal in a 4-0 win against Blackburn, and crossing for Nicklas Bendtner to head home the opener at Newcastle at the weekend.
And the 27-year-old Russian believes the quality of his play will steadily improve as his fitness levels rise and he adapts to the speed and style of English football, while also revealing his preferred position.
"I am just getting to know my new team-mates and so, sometimes, I do not know where I should go, where to run or how to use the space," he told the club's official website.
"Sometimes I play well, yes, but I would like to show that all of the time. However, it is getting better and better in each game and I will try to improve.
"The boss must decide where is best to play me but, in my mind, if Arsenal play a 4-4-2, then it is better for me to play as the second forward.
"If we play 4-3-3, then I can play on the left or the right wing, it does not matter for me."
