Celtic to welcome 2,000 fans to Parkhead for Preston friendly
Ange Postecoglou’s first home game as Celtic boss will be played in front of 2,000 fans.
Preston will be the visitors to Parkhead for a friendly match on Saturday, July 17.
Celtic announced that the figure is the “maximum” presently allowed inside their 60,000-capacity stadium.
A statement on Celtic’s official website read: “We are using this as our own preparatory event, under Covid-19 protocols, which will allow us to use and assess all areas of the stadium. Ticket allocation has been split among season ticket holders and club contractual obligations.
“It’s been too long since we had you at Celtic Park and we cannot wait to have you back! Celtic continues to work tirelessly to ensure we get as many season ticket holders back to Celtic Park as quickly as we can.”
Postecoglou’s tenure as Hoops boss began with a 3-1 friendly win over Sheffield Wednesday at the club’s pre-season training facility in Newport on Wednesday.
Celtic take on Charlton on Saturday at the same venue before travelling to face Bristol City on July 14.
