Gallagher – a longtime friend of the Juventus forward – was on the Che Tempo Che Fa show with Oasis.
Del Piero phoned the show to thank Gallagher for creating "inspiring" music. When he was then presented with the freshly-signed shirt Del Piero wore during Juve's victory at Real Madrid last Wednesday, the Oasis guitarist grinned "eBay!"
Last year, Del Piero appeared in the video for the band's single Lord Don't Slow Me Down. In 2006 he had credited Gallagher with being the Italy team's lucky totem during their march to World Cup glory and invited the Burnage boy to the team hotel after the final.
