Jesus will need time to adapt at Manchester City - Clichy
Gael Clichy has little doubt Gabriel Jesus will prove to be a fine addition for Manchester City and expects plenty of goals on the long term
Manchester City defender Gael Clichy is confident Gabriel Jesus will be a success in the Premier League, but has warned the Brazil international will need time to adapt to his new surroundings.
The 19-year-old has built a reputation as one of the most exciting youngsters in world football after scoring four goals in his first six Brazil caps and helping Palmeiras to the title in his homeland last year.
Clichy is looking forward to teaming up with Jesus at the Etihad Stadium as City look to breathe new life into their faltering title bid.
"When a team like City bring in a player he is a quality player, so it is always good to have someone coming in, fresh legs and a new body," Clichy was quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
"He will need time to adjust but I hope he can be that good and make an impact as soon as possible.
"We will help him to get to his full potential as soon as possible, because in football people want results.
"I know he is really good, I have spoken to the Brazilian players. And a player from Brazil being bought by City is sure to have quality.
