Luisao out of England friendly

LISBON - Brazil central defender Luisao has undergone appendix surgery and will miss the friendlies against England in Doha on Saturday and Oman in Muscat three days later, the player's club Benfica said on Wednesday.

The player had an emergency operation late on Tuesday, the club said in a statement on their website, adding that the surgery was successful and Luisao would leave hospital in the next 72 hours.
