Reds enter race for Dutch whiz kid
Arsenal and Liverpool have reportedly joined the race to sign Dutch starlet Luc Castaigones. The 16-year-old Feyenoord youngster recently starred at the UEFA U17 Championship, ending the tournament as top scorer as Holland reached the final only to lose to hosts Germany.
And his sensational form has led to a flurry of interest in the talented teenager, with both Arsene Wenger and Rafael Benitez believed to be keen on securing his services.
Castaigones is currently committed to the Eredivisie giants on a long-term contract.
However, the player's agent has revealed that a deal could be agreed this summer, providing the player can be immediately loaned back to Feyenoord in order for him to continue his development.
"The interest is known and clubs are willing to go really far," Arie Treffers told De Telegraaf.
"We have sent everyone to Feyenoord. Luc and his parents prefer to stay at Feyenoord for now.
"A construction where a big team would sign him and directly loan him out to Feyenoord could be an option."
