Spurs eye Caballo capture

European champions Barcelona and Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be weighing up moves for Salamanca starlet Diego Caballo, according to reports in Spain. The highly-rated 15-year-old's form is believed to have attracted the attention of scouts across Europe, with interest in the talented defender intensifying following his performances in a youth tournament in his native Spain. Salamanca - a second division outfit - are unsurprisingly keen to keep hold of their unpolished gem.

However, with both Barca and Spurs lurking, as well as la Liga outfit Real Valladolid, they may find themselves resigned to watching their prodigy depart for pastures new.

"I intend to clear this subject up in the next few days," said Caballo's father.
