West Ham launch Katy Perry lingerie

The Premier League club have responded to "huge demand" by commissioning a limited run of basques, designed by Siobhan Dillon, after 25-year-old Perry stole the show in Berlin.

"Perry's basque featured two club crests, while her hot pants were adorned with the name 'Rusty' in honour of her Hammers-supporting boyfriend, (comedian and presenter) Russell Brand," West Ham said on their website.

"I thought it would be cool to try and make the shirt as football-oriented as possible," Dillon was quoted saying.

"So, I used the collars along the top of the brassiere and used the two badges on the front.

"It (the outfit) was made entirely from the three shirts, but we had to take the Airtex out and replace it with some lining."

Perry, hosting the MTV awards for the second successive year, had promised a show inspired by the "Cabaret" film with Liza Minnelli, set in 1930s Berlin, and did not disappoint.

Dillon, to whom West Ham supplied the kits so she could make the outfit for the November 5 awards, is set to produce an initial run of 50 basques selling at 300 pounds each.
