According to Sky Sports Italia reports, everything seems to be in place for Kaka to complete his protracted £68.5-million move and become Florentino Perez's next Galactico.
With Kaka currently in Brazil on international duty, the Italian media have suggested that an announcement will come at around 19:00 Brazilian time or midnight in central Europe. The deal will hinge on a phone call which Kaka will have with Silvio Berlusconi later tonight.
Although Berlusconi has claimed "that if it was down to me then I would keep him" in an interview with Il Corriere Dello Sport, Milan's attitude to the deal is best summarised by vice president Adriano Galliani's comments in the Gazzetta dello Sport.
"We cannot allow (Milan) to lose £70m...The reasons behind Kaka's departure would be economic". Kaka is due to give a press conference from Brazil's training camp after the official announcement. Additionally, it is believed that Milan and Real Madrid will release statements at the same time to confirm the move.
