PARIS - France midfielder Jeremy Toulalan hit out at his own federation for choosing European champions as opponents for a friendly game earlier this month.
France lost 2-0 at the Stade de France and Olympique Lyon's Toulalan said he felt humiliated on the pitch, adding it was very damaging for the team's morale ahead of the World Cup.
"The federation is doing nothing to help us," Toulalan told Friday's French daily Le Progres. "There was no worse choice than Spain for our confidence.
"I have never felt so humiliated and helpless than against Spain and Barcelona last season (in the Champions League).
"Spain are currently the best team. They are stronger than Brazil."
Spain and Brazil are widely viewed as co-favourites for this year's World Cup in South Africa.comments
