Hertha come from behind to defeat Dusseldorf

Hertha Berlin’s resurgence continued as they made it three Bundesliga wins in a row with a 3-1 victory over Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Visitors Dusseldorf made a bright start at the Olympiastadion, and might have had a penalty after 27 minutes when Chelsea loanee Lewis Baker was clumsily brought down in the box by Maximilian Mittelstadt.

Hertha needed only five minutes to respond, with Vedad Ibisevic volleying home Marius Wolf’s cross.

The hosts went in front a minute before half-time as Javairo Dilrosun steered Vladimir Darida’s cut-back into the top corner.

Our mission is to offer our intelligent, international audience access to the game’s biggest names, insightful analysis... and a bit of a giggle. We unashamedly love this game and we hope that our coverage reflects that.
