Gabriel Jesus has undergone an operation on his right foot after he fractured a metatarsal in Manchester City's 2-0 win at Bournemouth.
The Brazil international was substituted after just 15 minutes of the game at Vitality Stadium and he later travelled to Barcelona for surgery.
Jesus, 19, has made an electrifying start to life at City having scored three goals in five games since joining the club from Palmeiras, but is said to be facing up to three months on the sidelines.
City tweeted a picture of Jesus smiling in his hospital bed following the operation, but the forward is likely to face an uphill struggle to return before the final Premier League game of the season against Watford on May 21st.
All smiles and a thumbs up from after his foot operation in Barcelona. We will keep you updated on his progress! February 17, 2017
