Ronaldo bats back latest Real rumours
Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo has once again pledged his future to the Premier League leaders, despite yet more rumours emerging regarding a possible move to Real Madrid.
Reports over the weekend suggesting that the La Liga champions had agreed a fee for the Portuguese forward were subsequently blown out of the water by manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
And after Ferguson had reacted angrily to another question about Ronaldo's future, the latter confirmed his desire to stay at Old Trafford, dismissing suggestions he is keen on a move due to the heavy-handed treatment being dished out towards him from Premier League opponents.
"I am happy at this club. I think it is the right club," he said.
"It has always been like that. It is only normal this season that the defenders have kicked me to try and stop me. It is just normal.
"We are the best team in England. We have shown that by being top of the table. That speaks for itself.
"We respect all our opponents but if we carry on winning, we will win the title again. We have a chance to win everything this season.
"First we have to beat FC Porto. After that, we must carry on."
