Valencia ease past neighbours Villarreal to reach Europa League semi-finals

Valencia booked their place in the Europa League semi finals as a 2-0 win over neighbours Villarreal secured a 5-1 aggregate victory.

Toni Lato’s first senior goal for Valencia built on hosts’ commanding position after the 3-1 win in the first leg, before Dani Parejo doubled the lead at the start of the second half to put the tie beyond Villarreal.
