Hernandez agent rubbishes rumours of €25m Leverkusen sale

The agent of Javier Hernandez has rubbished speculation that the striker could leave Bayer Leverkusen in a €25million deal this month.

A report in Germany has claimed that the Mexico international could be sold in January if the Bundesliga club's asking price is met.

"First of all, the claim that Javier has a bad relationship with his team-mates and the club is a great lie," he told La Aficion. "Secondly, neither is it true that the club is allowing him to leave for 25 million euros.

"It all comes down to an answer that the club gave me: Javier was not for sale.

"This is a badly aimed report, badly done, with bad intentions. It's only there to tarnish the image of Javier. He's not even thinking about leaving the club."

"It's not that I've had offers," he said. "There are phone calls asking me about Javier's situation, there are various clubs in various leagues who have asked about him, but the response is the same: I cannot determine his future without having spoken with the club with whom he currently has a contract.

"The club has been asked and Bayer Leverkusen say 'he's not for sale', so there's absolutely nothing."
