Manchester United will attempt to sign Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano in January, according to reports.
The 28-year-old Brazilian has averaged almost a goal every other game during his four years in la Liga after arriving from Porto in 2005, netting 49 times in 107 outings.
And the former Santos front-man has proved even more prolific for his country, scoring 25 times in just 33 outings for the Samba Boys and winning the Golden Boot at the recent Confederations Cup in South Africa.
AC Milan, having received more than €50 million from Real Madrid for Kaka, were favourites to land the Sevilla hot-shot earlier this summer, only to refuse to meet the Andalusians' €30 million asking price.
And, according to The People, Sir Alex Ferguson will attempt to profit from the Rossoneri's hesitancy by making a move for the goal-getter once the winter transfer window opens in the New Year.
“Luis Fabiano was unhappy with the failure of his move to AC Milan, and he has decided not to speak about his future until there is a concrete offer," said a source close to the player in the report.
"He is concentrating on doing well with Sevilla, but it pleases him that big clubs are interested in him.”comments
