Harry Kane among 11 players absent from England training
Harry Kane, Jordan Henderson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were among 11 players absent from England’s open training session on Monday.
Gareth Southgate last week named a 25-man squad for the Euro 2020 qualification double-header against Bulgaria and Kosovo.

But a swathe of those players were missing at St George’s Park on Monday following their weekend exertions.
Kane, Danny Rose, Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Kieran Trippier and Harry Winks did not train with the group after playing on Sunday.
Ben Chilwell, Tyrone Mings, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jadon Sancho were also absent from the session on the Sir Bobby Charlton Pitch.

Training also saw ex-England international Chris Powell join Southgate’s coaching team for the first time.
The former Charlton, Huddersfield and Southend boss is joining the Three Lions this season as part of the next phase of the Elite Coach Placement Programme – the Football Association’s programme to solve the challenge of under-representation of BAME coaches.

FourFourTwo was launched in 1994 on the back of a World Cup that England hadn’t even qualified for. It was an act of madness… but it somehow worked out. Our mission is to offer our intelligent, international audience access to the game’s biggest names, insightful analysis... and a bit of a giggle. We unashamedly love this game and we hope that our coverage reflects that.
