McClair astonished at pampered United stars

The Red Devils’ multi-millionaire stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo (pictured), are being kept up-to-date with their busy schedules by a newly installed system at the club’s training ground, ensuring they don’t miss any engagement – from pedicures to haircuts.

The players can even monitor who is available to run baths for them, how their food will be cooked and when to go for massages.

It also provides times for weights sessions, yoga classes and training drills.

Manchester United youth coach Brian McClair couldn’t believe his eyes after he made a rare visit to the senior players' dressing room.

He said: "I don't go into the first team dressing room very often, but I popped in recently to look for a member of staff.

"I noticed there was a new addition to the room – a large flat-screen TV. I switched it on and saw there was a scrolling screen informing players of details for the day."

The 44 year old former United striker added "There were times of training, massage times, pedicure times, hair care times, whose turn it was to speak to MUTV, who to instruct to run a bath for you, weights sessions, yoga times and nutrition advice."

The rather elaborate system is also said to display a detailed breakdown of the lunch menu and start times of training sessions, although it might also be worth adding the times and locations for doping tests...
