Modric linked with Serie A switch
Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Luka Modric could be leaving London after just a year at White Hart Lane, according to his representative.
The 23-year-old Croatian only joined Spurs from Dinamo Zagreb last summer, and initially struggled to adjust to life in the Premier League as the north London outfit laboured under former boss Juande Ramos.
However, since Harry Redknapp's arrival the Croatian international - who has made 25 top flight appearances to date - has started to show off his skills in the centre of midfield.
But it has failed to stem rumours linking him with a transfer away from England, with Modric's representative and FIFA agent, Sabatino Durante, revealing Juventus are keen on recruiting him at the end of the season to replace the retiring Czech midfielder Pavel Nedved.
"He certainly could [join Juve] but a lot depends on the economic situation," Durante told the Evening Standard. "Modric will not leave London for any less than 24million euro.
"Modric has been one of the best midfielders in Europe for the last two or three years, because he has just the right mix of quantity and quality.
"He can play in Nedved's position, just behind the strikers. Basically, he can do everything."
